Sport Caerphilly has named the finalists for the Caerphilly Sport Awards 2024 which celebrate the contributions of coaches, athletes, volunteers, and clubs in the region.
The awards will be handed out at Bryn Meadows Hotel and Spa on November 8.
The shortlist is:
Community Coach of the Year: Jonah Jones, Matthew Cusack, Bethan Bushen, and Tara Edwards.
Inclusive Coach of the Year: Gareth Harper and Dean Thomas, Kate Miskell, Lee Meyrick and Rhiannon Hughes.
Lifetime Achievement to Sport: Brian and Alison Huish, and Hillary and Ken Goodyear.
Volunteer of the Year: John Helmore, Leighton John, Ross Duffield, and Andrea Ambler.
Young Volunteer of the Year (Under 18): Alexi Pipe, Emilie Allen, Eva Cecil, Gwennan Edwards, and Valleys Girls Peer Leaders.
Club of the Year: Caerphilly Castle FC, Caerphilly Dragons FC, Oakdale Welfare Bowls Club, Valley Taekwondo Academy, Wattsville FC and Ynysddu RFC.
