WALES' World Cup opponents Germany have seen their preparations for Wednesday night's match rocked by the axing of striker Kevin Kuranyi.
Coach Joachim Loew has dropped Schalke's Kuranyi for the qualifier in Monchengladbach after the 26-year-old walked out on the squad on Saturday during the interval of their 2-1 win over Russia having failed to make the 18-man party.
"I cannot accept the way Kevin reacted," said Loew.
"It would not be right to the team and to the coaches to pick him again. He should have come to talk to me."
"We have enough players in the squad who are healthy and we will concentrate on the Wales game with Patrick Helmes, Lukas Podolski, Mario Gomez and Miroslav Klose."
Hamburg full-back Marcell Jansen is also missing for the Euro 2008 finalists after tearing a muscle in his left thigh and Real Madrid centre-back Christoph Metzelder has been rested.
"Metzelder is very much part of our plans," said Loew.
"But we agreed that as he has not had much match practice at Real Madrid this season he would be better staying there and working on his fitness."
Meanwhile, Wales boss John Toshack has allowed young striker Sam Vokes to joined the under-21 squad for their European Championships play-off second leg match with England at Villa Park tomorrow rather than travel to Germany. Wrexham defender Steve Evans has also been released having been called up as cover for Saturday's win over Liechtenstein.
