DRAGONS Under-20s head coach Wayne Jones has rung the changes in a bid to record back-to-back wins when his charges face the Scarlets tomorrow night (kick off 7.15pm).
There are seven changes, one positional, to the side that beat the Blues 13-12 in the WRU Regional Championship opener at Ebbw Vale last week.
Wings Olli Halford and Nathan Preece, scrum half David Jones, prop Dan Watchurst, hooker Craig Fillier and lock Sam Pailor all come in for this evening’s clash at Narbeth while Matthew Pewtner moves from wing to centre.
The Dragons are without scrum half James Leadbeater, who scored a crucial try last week, but Jason Tovey will be hoping for similar luck with the boot. The full-back’s eight point haul proved to be the difference between the sides.
The Scarlets were also victors last week when they beat the Ospreys.
Dragons: J Tovey, O Halford, A Hughes, M Pewtner, N Preece, D Langdon, D Jones, D Watchurst, C Fillier, S Maguire, S Pailor, A Sweet (captain), M Allen, R Jenkins, J Thomas. Replacements: A Coundley, R Price, L Bray, T Falatau, C Davies, I Coombs, T Driver.
* The Ospreys travel to Glamorgan Wanderers’ Memorial Ground to face the Blues in the evening’s other fixture.
