The league continued with two high scoring matches and 30 goals scored in just two games as RTB Ebbw Vale and Neaudd Wen both hit double figures.

In the Reserve Division, RTB Ebbw Vale followed their nine goals scored last week by scoring another 11 against Crusaders B who themselves scored five in the highest scoring match of the day.

These two teams must have been playing with the wrong shaped ball as some rugby results did not match the 16 scored.

In Division One Neaudd Wen recorded the highest score, beating The Oak 13 – 1 to return to the top of the table.

In the Reserve Division Excelsior A retained the leader's spot with a convincing 4-1 away victory at Cefn Fforest.

Excelsior C defeated previous leaders Llanhilleth 5-2, while Treowen were held to a 2-2 draw at Rhymney B.

Abercarn overcame a stubborn Bluebirds to win 4-2 and Pentwynmawr travelled to Excelsior B and won 2-1.

The surprise of the day saw high flying Crusaders A losing 4-2 at home by Trinant, a win which lifts them off the bottom of the table.

Only two points separate the clubs lying in second and sixth place.

Excelsior C and Treowen hold second and third spots respectively with 19 points with Abercarn and Pentwynmawr on 18 points and Crusaders A on 17 points.

In Division One Coed Duon picked up their first points of the season with a 3-2 away win at King David.

Brynmawr travelled to Pontllanfraith and returned after with a fantastic 6-2 win.

In the other match PFS Athletic defeated Fleur De Lys 3-2.

In the Premier Division Rhymney A stayed at the top of the table following a 4-3 away victory at Pantside who led 3-0 at one stage only to capitulate under constant pressure.

Garnlydan kept up the pressure in second place, inflicting the first defeat of the season on Tredegar Athletic with a hard-earned 2-1 away victory.

Nantyglo travelled to near neighbours Rassau Rangers and finally won 3-2, while Castle Inn held Tredegar Arms to a 1-1 draw.
