Premier X table-toppers St Julians AFC maintained a two point lead over Marshfield after giving Graig-Y-Rhacca a 7-0 hammering. The Saints were 2-0 up at half time then the speed of their front men found little defence from Graig. Nathan Lewis (3), Michael Harrison (2), Kyle Humphries and Jonathan Clifford scored for the Saints. Marshfield overcame a strong Pill Hibernians side to record a 5-2 win at the village field. Gareth Georgeadis (3), Martin Rees and Jamie Harris scored. Pontnewydd United made it six wins from six when beating Cwmcarn Athletic 3-1 with goals coming from Phil Jarman, Mark Alcock and Adam Whitcombe. Malpas FC won 4-1 away at Machen FC while Shaftesbury Youth threw away a 3-0 half-time lead to draw 3-3 with Tredegar Arms.
AC Pontymister held on to third place in the Premier Y with a 7-1 win against Lucas Cwmbran. Jamie Lewis (2), Steve Wood (2), Laurie Kidman, Elliott Donald and Rhys Cleere, got the goals.
The top of the table clash between Albion Rovers and Cwmbran Celtic was postponed due to bad weather. Lliswerry beat Coed Eva Athletic 2-1 with two goals from Paul White.
Goals from David Doody (2), Roy Bennett and Conor Crowley gave Pill AFC a close 4-3 win against Cromwell Youth. Newport Corinthians gained their first win of the season, beating Rogerstone 5-1 at the Welfare Ground. Villa Dino Christchurch beat Trethomas Bluebirds, with goals from Craig Gibbs (2), Mike Colcombe and Simon Jones.
Division One leaders Pontnewydd United suffered their second defeat, going down 4-1 to K-2 seconds. Feyyaz Alam (2), Shamirul Alam and Arron Compton got the K-2 goals. The game between Lliswerry and Sporting Baneswell was abandoned after 65 minutes. It is believed that this game will now be the subject of a Gwent Football Association disciplinary enquiry. Four goals from Shaun Gittings, Daniel Freestone, Greg Taylor and Anthony Waite, gave AC Pontymister a 4-0 win against Marshfield. Malpas FC beat bottom of the table Caerleon Town 6-0.
Oakfield Inn has a three point lead at the top of Division Two after a 9-1 win away to Marshfield. Michael Farr (5), Luke Roberts (2), Stuart Jones and Adam Griffiths scored. Goals from David Camfield and Mark Poole were enough to give Lliswerry a 2-1 win at Newport Corinthians. Waterfront United moved into second place after a 5-1 win away to Rogerstone. Cwmcarn Athletic won 3-2 against Racing Club Newport with Robert Stock (2) and Steve Jones scoring.
With Division Three leaders St Julians AFC without a game, Ty-Sign AFC missed the opportunity to close the gap to one point, managing only a 4-4 draw with bottom club Newport Eagles. Racing Club Newport moved into third place after a 3-2 win against the Ferns AFC. Racing’s scorers were Jamie Mincher, James Collins and David Cooke. Goals from Michael Kembrey (2), Kieron Donovan and Matthew Procter helped Gaer Park Rangers to a 4-2 win against Lucas Cwmbran.
In the Sunday League the Docks Cons produced a shock result, winning 3-2 away to Pavillions. The Docks scorers were Dominic Halpin, Lee Drew and Stephen Buckley. Pavillions still remain top with Whitehead Haymakers a strong threat.
The Haymakers enjoyed a fabulous 4-2 away win at TRW. Glan-Yr-Afon won 5-3 at Rogerstone United. Goals from Andrew Cornwall (2), Lee Gresham (2) and Jordan Smith gave Athletico Allsorts a 5-0 win against St Julians Old Boys.
The Bettws derby between Real and the Social was postponed due to bad weather.
