CROSS Keys are looking for a repeat of everything from last weekend but the result when they host Bedwas.
The Keys conceded a converted try at the death to let three points slip through their fingers against Glamorgan Wanderers last weekend.
Nothing was said to the stunned players immediately after the game but it has been dissected in training this week.
A reaction to the disappointment has been demanded as Keys bid to stretch away from their Gwent rivals at the bottom of the table.
“We have had to get over it – you cannot afford to dwell on a defeat like that because games come thick and fast,” said director of rugby Jonathan Westwood.
“We have spoken about the game at length and hopefully we will learn from the mistakes we made.
“It wasn’t a loss that was down to a bad performance it was just a little lack of composure and poor game management.
“We did more than enough to win but were not quite clinical enough. We have not hit the panic button but the key thing is to bounce back tomorrow.”
Bedwas and Keys are 11th and 10th, respectively, in the table with just one point between them.
And the form book points towards an away win at Pandy Park – the visitors have won their last five league trips to Keys.
“Bedwas have a good record at Pandy Park,” said Westwood. “They are well-organised and well-coached and you know what you will get with them.
“It is always a physical battle and they have some old war horses in their pack. We have to go into the game with a positive attitude and repeat the performance from most of last weekend’s game.
“We are looking for a win and a response. They will bring real physicality and ultimately it is down to us matching that.”
Keys are without flanker Toby Faletau, who is set to travel with the Dragons to Edinburgh, and lock Ben Watkins is unavailable.
Jevon Groves moves forward into the second row and Rhys Peebles and Tom Lampard come into the back row.
Matthew Pewtner returns from a knee injury to play centre while James Leadbeater and Ryan James get the nod as half-backs.
Cross Keys: G David, M Johnstone, M Pewtner, P Williams, L Andrews, R James, J Leadbeater, R Cornock, L Burns, C Gould, C Bridges, J Groves, R Peebles, R Nash, T Lampard. Replacements: R Emms, J Price, T Crandon, G Gladwyn, W Johnstone, D Langdon, O Jones.
