ALL pitches were declared fit following last Friday night’s heavy rain and three games were played in the Premier Division on Saturday with Llanarth recording an excellent 6-2 away win at Lower Meadow over Pandy.

Goal scorers for Llanarth were Colin Morgan (2), Jamie Edwards (2), Daniel Wheeler (1) and Paul Detheridge got one from the penalty spot.

Goal scorers for Pandy were Mark Hughes and Leyton Davies.

Pandy had Leyton Davies and Craig Gilchrist sent off and Llanarth goalkeeper Adam Davies also saw red.

Man of the match for Pandy was Steve Wedlock and for Llanarth Jamie Edwards.

Pandy, with games in hand, are fourth. Llanarth are sixth.

Current Premier Division leaders Pontypool Town went five points clear at the top following their 5-1 home win at Albion Road over Llanfoist.

Pontypool led 3-1 at half time thanks to two early Chris Stokes strikes and one from Leigh Rowlands.

Andrew Ewers pulled one back for Llanarth in the 16th minute but further goals from Craig Long and Gavin Rogers sealed the win for Town.

Llanfoist were very unlucky to lose goalkeeper Paul Jones in the 30th minute with a suspected broken finger.

Man of the match for Pontypool was Leigh Rowlands and for Llanfoist it was Leighton Brown. Llanfoist hold seventh position.

Trevethin were the latest visitors to The Island, Usk, to take on Usk Town.

Trevethin stormed into a3-0 lead in the opening ten minutes and led 4-1 at half time.

Usk got back into the game in the second half but lost the match 4-3.

Goal scorers for Usk were Jeremy Barton, Charlie Risk and Daniel Jones.

Goal scorers for Trevethin were Chris Watkins, Dwain Hunt, Phillip Poulton and Lee Harris.

Clydach Wasps head Division Two on the same number of points as Goytre but the Wasps have a far superior goal difference.

Clydach Wasps enjoyed a fabulous 5-1 home win against Sebastopol.

The goals for Clydach Wasps came via a hat-trick from man of the match Scott Ambler and one each from Simon Tippins and Danny Hartland.

Daryl Nightingale scored a consolation goal for Sebastopol.

Man of the match for Sebastopol, who hold 12th position, was Daryl Nightingale.

Second-placed side Goytre tasted their first defeat of the season, going down 3-2 at Panteg.

Goal scorers for Panteg were Michael Gum, Adam Taghdiri and Jon Butcher.

Phil Sorrell and a Jon Williams own goal were the Goytre scorers.

Third-placed PILCS won 6-2 at home to 14th-placed Cwmffrwdoer with Ritchi Jeremiah and Matthew James both grabbing hat-tricks.

Blaenavon Blues took maximum points from their visit to Mardy with a 6-1 win.

Pontypool Town B won 4-2 at Panteg B with goals from Karl Hooper (3) and Gary Bond.
