WALES and Scarlets back row forward Dafydd Jones will undergo surgery this afternoon on the shoulder injury he picked up during the defeat to New Zealand on Saturday.
Jones will miss the rest of the four-match series, with Samoa up next this Friday night before Argentina and then Australia come to town, as well as a possible further three months out.
Jones will not be replaced in head coach Warren Gatland's now 28-man squad.
Wales physio Mark Davies said: "The prospects for recovery are good and we would anticipate him returning to play early in the New Year."
