ICELAND isn’t the only place erupting at the moment with the mother of all parties set to begin at Newport Stadium today.
Because after two decades in the footballing wilderness, Newport County AFC are ready to celebrate their return to the Conference National by becoming record breakers at Spytty Park.
County’s dream season is almost at a close and after today’s game with promotion hopefuls Dover Athletic, Dean Holdsworth’s heroes will collect the Blue Square South winners trophy in front of a bumper crowd.
They also have a chance to become the first side in the history of the division to reach 100 points in a season if they earn three points today.
And just 24 hours later the victorious boys in amber will be honoured with an open top bus tour around Newport and a civic reception.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of history.
