GWENT snooker star Mark Williams is through to the second round at the World Championships after a 10-5 victory over Marcus Campbell.
The Cwm potter struggled to hit top form in a turgid morning session at the Crucible, which ended with him 5-4 up against the Scotsman.
But, despite not hitting a single century break, the two-time champion wrapped up the victory by winning tonight's session 5-1.
Fellow Welshman Ryan Day gets his campaign under way at 10am tomorrow against Mark Davis.
