EARLY goals from Jamie Collins and Paul Cochlin handed the Exiles a 2-1 away win at Braintree Town, a result that knocked the hosts out of the playoff places.
The Exiles cemented their legacy following a superb season by crowning their championship campaign by hitting 103 points.
Not even a second half penalty for the hosts that saw Paul Cochlin rightly sent off could deny County who held on for a hard fought three points.
The playoffs will now be contended by Chelmsford, Dover, Bath City and Woking, while hopes of a local derby with Forest Green next year were dashed as they swap places with County after being relegated to the Blue Square South.
