THERE was a lot of disappointment this week in the league as teams struggled to field full-strength sides.

On Saturday the Division One Govilon v Fairfield United game was called off as Fairfield were unable to raise a side.

The same applied to Pontypool Town B v Prescoed in Division Two with Pontypool failing to raise a side.

Other teams in the league could only muster nine or ten players on the day.

Following a lay off of approximately 10 weeks due to snow and waterlogged grounds, many players have not returned to playing.
