CROSS Keys have signed experienced fly-half Chris Anderson as they bid for a place in the play-offs for a place in next season’s British and Irish Cup.
The left-footed number 10, who is 30 tomorrow, has signed until the end of the season.
Anderson, a Premiership title winner with Cardiff in 2009, will provide competition and cover for 20-year-old Steffan Jones, who is likely to be needed by the Dragons in the LV Cup.
“Chris has plenty of experience and will be vital given the amount of games we have to fit in before the end of the season,” said head coach Greg Woods.
“He can slot straight in and is a similar type of player as Steffan.”
Keys, who are eighth in the table, do not play tomorrow but triumphed 22-8 against the North Wales Academy at Colwyn Bay last weekend.
“It was a good win in horrific conditions,” said Woods. “It sets us up nicely for the Swalec Cup game with Swansea.”
