WALES lost a close encounter with the all-star Barbarians at the Millennium Stadium this afternoon after a last gasp try by Isa Nacewa.
Tries from George North, Morgan Stoddart, Mike Phillips and Aled Brew, all converted by Stephen Jones as he won his 100th cap, looked to have given Warren Gatland's side victory.
But the Baa Baas replied with tries from Iosefa Tekori, Nacewa, Sergio Parisse and Mathieu Bastareaud before Nacewa's late winner, with Australian Brock James converting three.
Brew was one of four Newport Gwent Dragons stars who started the match, alongside Luke Charteris, Dan Lydiate and impressive debutant Toby Faletau.
Cross Keys man Lloyd Burns, who married childhood sweetheart Rachael yesterday, came on as a 64th minute replacement.
