Former England bowler Simon Jones has agreed to return to former county Glamorgan on a one-month loan from Hampshire.
The deal, which must be approved by the ECB on Monday, sees the former Ashes winner return to his home county after injury-wracked spells at Worcestershire and the Rose Bowl.
Jones, 32, has not played for England since enjoying a fine series in the 2005 series against Australia, with his domestic career repeatedly interrupted by fitness problems, including ankle and knee complaints.
He could make his return to the Glamorgan side in Tuesday's Twenty20 match against Essex Eagles.
Jones said: "It's nice to be back in Wales and always nice to be home. Now I want to do my best for Glamorgan."
Glamorgan's T20 contest with Hampshire last night was abandoned due to the weather with just six balls bowled.
