NEWPORT Gwent Dragons will have a reunion with former head coach Paul Turner when they take on London Wasps in the LV Cup.
Turner was appointed as attack and skills coach by the English club last month, working under former Cardiff Blues boss Dai Young.
The away clash at Adams Park is on the weekend of October 21 and is the region’s second fixture of the tournament.
The Dragons, who were beaten in the semi-finals of the tournament by eventual winners Gloucester at Kingsholm last season, start with a home clash with Bath.
They travel to the Ospreys on the weekend of January 27 before finishing the group stage with a home clash with English champions Saracens.
Dragons head coach Darren Edwards said: “The cup was a great opportunity for players at the Dragons last season.
“Getting to the semi-finals gave many of our younger players their first taste of playing rugby at that level and was a great boost for our season.
“We have a tough pool with away trips to Wasps and the Ospreys but it will be a great start to the campaign to open with a home clash against our closest English neighbours Bath and I’m confident that the boys will meet the challenges head-on.”
