NEWPORT Mike Manning Audio Wasps have one wheel in the British Premier League Knockout Cup final following this empathic last-four, first leg win at Queensway Meadows Stadium on Saturday night.
After rain had delayed the start by 45 minutes, the Wasps went onto dominate the meeting with dashing Dane Charlie Gjedde being unbeaten by an opponent in recording a 15-point paid maximum.
Every Wasps contributed well on a night when precious little went right for the visitors, who now host the tie’s second leg on Sunday night.
The winners face either Glasgow Tigers or Newcastle in the two-legged final.
