CROSS KEYS 42 SWANSEA 7
CROSS Keys’ Premiership charge gathered momentum with a superb bonus point victory over Swansea to fully avenge October's 27-10 defeat at St Helen's.
Led by tighhead prop Craig Gould on his 200th appearance, Keys’ pace and power blew the All Whites away.
A try by impressive hooker Gerwyn Price and a conversion and two penalties by Steffan Jones put them 13-0 up after 20 minutes.
Jones injured his groin before the interval and was replaced by Sam Mills who proved to be an able deputy.
Keys centre Luke Williams’ beautiful break saw Nathan Williams score an excellent converted try on the stroke of half-time.
Flanker Cae Trayhern stretched their lead after 55 minutes with another converted try before they scored their stunning fourth touchdown.
Price was instrumental in that bonus point try, putting wing Marcus Johnstone in for his 40th touchdown to take him one short of sharing the club record with fellow flyer Richie Nicholls who played for Keys between 1990 and 2000.
Running riot, replacement Tom Lampard got try number five before Matthew Norman scored a late converted consolation touchdown for Swansea.
