PROMISING Newport Gwent Dragons centre Jack Dixon has been called into Danny Wilson’s Wales Under-20s squad for the IRB Junior World Championship in South Africa which takes palce between June 4 and 22.
Dixon, 17, became the youngest player to play in a competitive match for a Welsh region when he came on as a replacement during the Dragons’ LV Cup victory at Wasps in the autumn.
Seven other players not available to head coach Wilson for most of the Wales U-20s Six Nations due to regional commitments have been added to the group.
They include Cory Hill and fellow Blues forward Luke Hamilton and wing wizard Harry Robinson who was a member of Warren Gatland’s senior Six Nations training squad and the Wales sevens squad this season.
They are joined by Ospreys star Matthew Morgan, Tom Habberfield, who has been part of the Wales sevens squad this season, Eli Walker and four-times Wales capped Tom Prydie who is currently on loan to London Wasps.
