NEWPORT County AFC academy graduate Momodou Touray has returned to Barry Town United on loan until the end of the season.
Touray spent last season on loan at Barry, winning the Welsh Premier League young player of the year award after scoring 13 goals in 31 league appearances.
The 20-year-old featured regularly in pre-season for County before joining National League side Torquay United on a one-month loan deal last month.
But Touray made just one appearance for the Gulls before returning to Rodney Parade and now he’s heading back to Jenner Park.
After finalising the loan move, the Wales under-21 international said: “I am looking forward to going back to Barry and playing regular football.
“I loved my last spell at Barry and I am hoping I can score more goals for them and help them achieve another good season.
“I want to carry on from where I left last season and gain more valuable experience."
Exiles manager Michael Flynn said: "Mo needs to play games. I know he will get good coaching at Barry, which will help him develop as a player.”
Barry boss Gavin Chesterfield said: “The opportunity to bring Mo back to the club came around quite late in the window but it was one we could not turn down.
"It’s no secret that Mo had a good season with us last year and that he was very well liked by all at the club.
"As such I’m delighted to be working with him again. My thanks to the board for their support and Mike Flynn and Newport County for their continued trust in us.”
