GONE: Defender Lazar Stojsavljevic has been released by Newport County
NEWPORT County AFC and Lazar Stojsavljevic have mutually agreed to terminate the player's contract.
The 21-year-old centre back signed a two-year deal with the Exiles in the summer after being released by Championship side Millwall.
Stojsavljevic made just one appearance for County in a competitive game.
He started the Carabao Cup first-round tie at Gillingham last month but was taken off after just 29 minutes with Michael Flynn's men 1-0 down. They went on to draw 2-2 and win the tie on penalties.
A brief statement from the club ends: "The club wishes Lazar well in his future career."
