Owen Broad with St Josephs and Eveswell
The Trust hosted two teams to Rodney Parade on a sunny December afternoon to see Newport play local rivals Bedwas.
Boys and girls from Eveswell Junior School and St Jospehs U12 RFC all came along and took part in a pre-match skills session with FoNR Coach, Joe Crocker. They were joined by popular player and try machine, Owen Broad who took charge of a tag match between two mixed teams that numbered nearly about twenty players per side.
Following this, they were allowed to sit on the famous Rodney Parade Bench before forming a Guard of Honour for the players of both Bedwas and Newport as they ran out onto the park.
