On the day that one of Welsh Rugby's oldest fixtures took place, the Eveswell Junior School team turned out in their familiar red and white jerseys to welcome the Cardiff and Newport teams onto the Rodney Parade pitch. Eveswell have always provided a good rugby playing ethos and never fail to provide a team. They have attended Rodney Parade every year since the inception of Regional Rugby in support of Newport RFC.
The boys were very vocal in support and kept cheering the team on throughout the match. Their efforts were eventually rewarded as Newport came out on top leaving Cardiff wondering when their first semi-pro win will come at the Parade.
