Friends of Newport Rugby are pleased to announce that this event to coincide with the 'Men of Gwent Worthington 7's is confirmed.

Opening will be Friday 5th August 3-11 & Saturday 6th August 11-11. It will be held using a bar located close to gate 3 between the squash club and the stadium and also a marquee on the grassed area.

There will be live music each night. Innovence are playing on Friday whilst we are waiting to confirm a band for Saturday We hope to offer 15 - 20 real ales and a couple of traditional ciders too. These will be from predominantly independent breweries and supplied via the Rodney Parade sponsor Coors. More details will follow once the exact order is confirmed but expect to see a wide range of styles and flavours.

Negotiations are in hand to provide hot food. Alternatively bring your own supplies and have a picnic.

Coinciding with the 7's on the Saturday will be some attractions for the children. Face painting, bouncy castle etc. More details to follow once the club have sorted this out.

We will need some help on the day, not just with serving beer but collecting and washing glasses, picking litter and a pile of other less than glamorous tasks, so if you can spare some time to help that would be great!

Most importantly we need to publicise this event, so if you can get a poster up in your local pub, club, place of work or anywhere else suitable, please get in touch This could be a great event if we can get enough people to attend and hopefully this will be the first of many.
