Rodney Parade Ltd, The Newport Gwent Dragons and Newport RFC have a new interim CEO. Chris Brown comes from an industrial background and has an excellent track record of working with companies to increase their profitability.
In his first month in Newport, Chris has made a very positive impression on the staff at RP and has thrown himself into the role. He has been extremely active in seeking the views and opinions of all those involved in the teams and the commercial activities and has met with both Kev Jarvis (Secretary of Friends of Newport Rugby) and also the full FoNR committee. He has a keen passion for listening to supporters views.
Chris has a remit to increase all revenue streams at Rodney Parade and although the Dragons provide a large slice of this he is keen to maximise the Newport RFC portion by increasing supporter numbers at games and increasing hospitality and advertising income associated with the Black & Ambers.
It won’t be an easy task but everyone involved with FoNR who has met Chris has been extremely impressed with his professionalism, ideas, commitment and enthusiasm. We look forward to working closely with him throughout the summer months to prepare for the 2012/13 season.
